HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese marksmen will compete in the Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup which takes place from March 1 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The team consists of eight shooters who are hoping to represent Việt Nam at next year's Paris Olympics.

The event will consist of three categories, men and women’s senior, men and women’s junior, and men and women’s young.

The Vietnamese team will be competing in the men's rifle and pistol and women’s pistol events.

Despite shooting being removed by Cambodia from the SEA Games 32 this year, the Vietnamese teams are still taking part in training camps as they seek to attend other international competitions.

In November last year, Việt Nam won a bronze medal at the 15th Asian Airgun Championship in Daegu in South Korea. VNS
