HÀ NỘI — Two community cases of COVID-19 were detected in Hà Nội on Monday morning.

One is a 40-year-old woman living in Nam Từ Liêm District.

She works at a hair salon located opposite the house of a COVID-19 patient confirmed earlier and had close contact with that patient, according to the city’s health department.

The department asked anyone who visited the Thanh Huyền Hair Salon at 342 Phúc Diễn Street, Xuân Phương Ward, Nam Từ Liêm District from January 26 to 28 to self quarantine at home and report to the nearest healthcare facilities.

Another new patient in the city is a 48-year-old woman who lives in Cầu Giấy District. She attended a wedding in Chí Linh City, northern Hải Dương Province. Chí Linh City reported a large number of community infections since last Thursday, mostly linked to a factory.

The two new cases are being treated at the National Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội’s Đông Anh District.

Hà Nội has reported 15 COVID-19 community cases since the outbreak returned last Thursday.

The city authorities have ordered to close all bars, discos and karaoke venues as of Feburary 1, Vietnam News Agencies reported. — VNS
