QUẢNG NGÃI Twenty-six kilograms of drugs were discovered at the shores of Lý Sơn Island in Quảng Ngãi on Sunday, according to the Lý Sơn District Police.
The anonymous informant, N.V.Đ (32 years old), from Tây An Hải Hamlet, reported to the police of Lý Sơn District and handed over two packages wrapped in plastic suspected to contain drugs. He stated that he had found these packages while collecting snails on the northeast coast, in the area of milestone A10, belonging to Đông An Hải Hamlet.
The police of Lý Sơn District documented the information and two drug packages, weighing approximately 2.2 kilograms, submitted by N.V.Đ. At the same time, the authorities went to the scene where Đ. found the packages to continue the search.
Authorities then discovered a black leather bag containing 22 packages suspected to be drugs, carefully wrapped, with a total weight of about 26kg. The authorities documented the scene, sealed the evidence, and worked with those involved.
