1,047 new coronavirus patients recorded on Wednesday

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam confirmed 1,047 new infections of COVID-19 on Wednesday, an increase of 37 compared to the previous day.

So far the country has had a total of 10,720,426 COVID patients, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories worldwide.

All the new transmissions were domestic.

The new cases were reported in 40 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country. 871 infections were detected in the community.

The capital city of Hà Nội again led the country with 245 new transmissions.

Other localities that reported new infections were Yên Bái (67), Vĩnh Phúc (61), Nghệ An (56), Bắc Ninh (44), Phú Thọ (42), Quảng Ninh (38), Quảng Bình (37), Tuyên Quang (34), Đà Nẵng (33), Lào Cai (32), Quảng Trị (28), Hồ Chí Minh City (26), Bắc Kạn (25), Lai Châu (23), Thái Nguyên (23), Thái Bình (20), Hà Nam (20), Hòa Bình (20), Bình Định (18), Ninh Bình (17), Hưng Yên (14), Hải Dương (14), Lâm Đồng (13), Hà Tĩnh (12), Nam Định (11), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (10), Sơn La (9), Cao Bằng (8 ), Hà Giang (7), Bình Thuận (7), Lạng Sơn (6), Thanh Hóa (6), Gia Lai (5), Bình Phước (5), Thừa Thiên Huế (4), Bắc Giang (4), Bình Dương (1), Vĩnh Long (1) and Đồng Tháp (1).

The country today declared 9,542 patients recovered from the disease. A total of 9,471,840 people have been given the all-clear to date.

More than 221.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide, including more than 4.4 million to children between 5 and 11 years old. — VNS
