HÀ NỘI — Students and parents always praise Nguyễn Thị Kiều Trang for her dedicated and charming teaching.

Trang, 32, a teacher at Trung Yên Primary School in Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội, has been teaching for eight years. Since the first day on the job, Trang has improved and developed her teaching methods.

"Ever since I was a kid myself, I fell in love with this job and wanted to become a teacher," said Trang. "And ever since my dream came true, I have been blessed with love and happiness all around."

With her experience teaching first grade students, Trang was tasked with many important duties. At the beginning of the school year, Trang participated in a programme that teaches students and teachers how to use distance learning tools.

As the headteacher of a class, she is also determined to connect with her students and better understand them. Trang opened a mailbox called "What I Want To Say," where students could send feedback and thoughts to her.

Wanting students to have more interactive and real learning experiences, Trang also explored creating field trips for her class.

Although the pandemic has made teaching different and complicated in recent years, the first-grade class where Trang is currently teaching is still doing great, specifically in Vietnamese reading and writing skills.

According to her parents, Trang is very dedicated and charismatic in her class, and her students are attentive but not stressed when learning.

Outside of study, Trang also creates class activities that connect her and the students and parents, such as Mid-Autumn Festival parties, class talent shows and poetry contests.

Trang is also a great contributor to society. She helped farmers affected by the pandemic in distributing their products, and helped disadvantaged people of Cầu Giấy District in "zero đồng supermarket" programmes.

She also gathered volunteers to help with organising the 2021 National High School Graduation Exam and the vaccination campaign.

"Ms Trang is always creative in her professional work, and active in community work," said Nguyễn Thị Hồng Phương, Vice Principal of Trung Yên Primary School.

Trang was awarded the "Hà Nội's dedicated and creative teachers award" in 2021. She is also the recipient of the "2021 Hà Nội Charming Teacher Award."

"It is the smile and the improvement of my students that motivates me to go on," said Trang. —VNS
