Food and beverage establishments in Hà Nội have been ordered to close before 9pm in the city’s latest COVID-19 prevention and control plan, which focuses on safe, flexible adaptation to the pandemic.

HCM City plans to use vacant land plots in industrial parks and export processing zones to build affordable accommodations for workers, Huỳnh Thanh Khiết, deputy director of the city’s Department of Construction, has said.

COVID-19 patients in HCM City who do not meet the criteria for home quarantine will be allowed to stay at a designated quarantine facility in their local area or at their company, or pay a fee to spend their quarantine period at an approved hotel, according to a new instruction from the city Department of Health.

Tây Ninh Province is the latest provinve to reopen fixed-route passenger buses to Eastern and Western bus stations in HCM City.

Cases in the capital city Hà Nội are continuing to slowly rise, with 57 announced on Monday, an increase of 11 cases since Sunday. 

Schools in Hà Nội's suburban districts and townships will reopen for in-person learning on November 8, according to the city's People's Committee.
