HÀ NỘI — Hạ Long International Music Festival will take place in the northern province of Quảng Ninh’s Exhibition and Fair Palace from January 10 to 11.
The festival is being co-organised by Việt Nam Musicians’ Association in co-operation with Quảng Ninh Province to promote international music exchange and performances between Việt Nam and other countries.
More than 150 artists and bands from Japan, Kazakhstan, China and the host country will participate in the festival.
Kazakhstan’s Magic Nomads; Japanese Yushoku Hot; Chinese Quangxi Art Academy; Vietnamese Red River Jazz; Yellow Star Bigband and others will perform at the festival.
The event will include popular singers Hồ Quỳnh Hương; Nguyễn Ngọc Anh and Tô Minh Thắng. They are natives of Quảng Ninh Province.
The festival will include a series of events such as indoor and outdoor music performances, workshops and a field trip.
A street music fair will be held on January 7 at Hạ Long International Cruise Port at 8pm to kick off the festival.
This is the first time the province has held an international music festival. It is expected to be held annually to popularise tourism in Quảng Ninh Province. — VNS
