Most students hate studying, but they love surfing the web with their smartphones, so one teacher in An Giang Province has come up with a novel way of combining the two.

Phạm Văn Đức, principal of the Mỹ Thới High School, has set the school's Wi-Fi password as a maths question, which students have to solve to get connected.

The questions are stuck on the school’s notice board, and are changed weekly by Đức.

Far from moaning that it costs their data to send Snapchats to their crushes, the students are apparently fans of the initiative, and have even requested chemistry and physics questions so they can bone up on those subjects.

While some kids have complained the questions are too difficult, but really, if you can't figure out how to use your phone calculator without being hooked up to the internet, updating your Instagram should be the least of your concerns. — VNS
