HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam will take part in the Thailand Men’s Futures F7 which began yesterday in Nonthaburi Province.

Nam, seeded fifth, will face Pruchya Isaro of the hosts in the men’s singles today.

He’s also competing in the doubles with Japanese Yuichi Ito. The No 3 duo will play Chinese Wang Chuhan and Hong Kong’s Pak Long Yeung.

Nam yesterday dropped 50 spots and out of world top 500 in the latest ATP rankings.

Việt Nam’s top tennis player fell as his points earned from the Việt Nam F5 Futures last year were deducted as the event was not held this year.

Due to his schedule in Thailand, the national reigning winner could not defend his title at the national championship which started yesterday in HCM City. — VNS
