HCMCITY— Korean singer Song Joo Young, a student in the linguistics faculty at the HCM City University of Pedagogy, has released his first music video (MV) after two years of living in the city.

The MV, Hot & Good, features both Vietnamese and Korean language in electro house, mixed by Addy Trần and Phúc Bồ.

“I wanted my first work in Việt Nam to be joyful to attract young fans,” said 25-year-old Song, who composed the song.

Song, known as JIS, worked for seven years as a composer for Musical Seoul, an entertainment agency in Korea, beginning when he was 16. He plays piano, guitar and drums.

In 2014, he visited Việt Nam and decided to develop his career here.

After covering top songs of pop star Tuấn Hưng and other young singers, such as Khắc Việt, Sunny Hạ Linh and Trung Quân Idol, Song became popular on the internet among Vietnamese fans.

“I believe working in Việt Nam will help me discover myself and learn more about the country through music,” said Song in an interview with Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper before launching his MV on Thursday.— VNS
