HÀ NỘI The MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone), the second-largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers, has started piloting its 4G and MobiTV services yesterday.

According to the corporation, its subscribers will be offered a wide range of services, such as LTE Broadcast (eMBMS), LTE Unicast, 4K TV, Robot Vehicle and online games, over high-speed 4G networks.

The mobile operator plans to test the service in the three major cities of Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng and HCM City.

MobiFone Chairman Lê Nam Trà said the launch of the new services marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company, in which it aims to provide clients with a full package of services.

Before MobiFone, Viettel started offering 4G services in December last year in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, with an average speed of 40-80Mb/s, though it could reach 230Mb/s in certain areas. Meanwhile, Vinaphone piloted the technology on Phú Quốc Island and in HCM City in January this year. VNS
