Six-star hotel construction next to Hồ Gươm begins

HÀ NỘI — Construction of the six-star Four Seasons hotel kicked off on Tuesday at a land lot on Lê Thái Tổ Street in the city’s Hoàn Kiếm District.

Located at a picturesque location, the project will provide 100 luxury rooms with a view of Hồ Gươm (Returned Sword) Lake. It is expected to serve businessmen and tourists and will host important international and domestic conferences.

According to BRG Group’s Intimex Việt Nam Joint Stock Company -- the hotel’s investor -- WATG Singapore has been selected as the foreign design consultant and IBSTAC Design Consulting Service Joint Stock Company is the local partner.

Earlier, in July 2016, the city’s Party Committee approved in principle the project but asked the owner to study thoroughly the project’s design to ensure harmonization with the landscape of the lake and the Old Quarters. — VNS
