Rescuers have retrieved the body of a worker killed in a coal mine collapse last Friday in northern Quảng Ninh Province’s Cẩm Phả City.

The body of a worker killed in a coal mine collapse last Friday in northern Quảng Ninh Province’s Cẩm Phả City has been retrieved.After more than 20 hours searching, the rescue team retrieved the body of Đỗ Minh Hải, 23, from Nam Định Province. The accident occurred at around 11.30 am on Friday near the furnace shaft on the coal mine area of Núi Béo Coal Company. Parts of the pit near a well broke and trapped Hải inside. Two other workers escaped. Nui Beo Coal Company and local authorities mobilised vehicles to pump water to rescue Hải, but he died buried by coal sludge.— Photo baogiaothong.vn
