HÀ NỘI — Hanoi Social Club will present a special night of world music on Saturday.

A story-telling night through music featuring folk and ethnic instruments from Việt Nam and abroad, the event 'Limited Edition Tradition', is a monthly exploration of global sounds.

Guest musicians from the northern mountainous province of Cao Bằng, and the Central Highlands province of Pleiku, as well as those from Morocco and the Middle East, will perform during the night.

According to the organiser, each month will bring a different flavour and new style of communication of emotions connected to the history of people across the world.

The performers will play the guimbri (three-stringed skin-covered bass plucked lute), oud (short-neck lute-type, pear-shaped stringed instrument), doumbrek or goblet drum, tỳ bà (four-string and pear-shaped lute), tam thập lục (36-string zither), and a wide range of hand percussion.
Together with musicians from the band The TranSplanted, every month, the concert will present different guest artists. This month, the line-up includes Amine Canamine, Hà Đình Huy, David Payne, Thái Hà Đàm, and Zoh Irie.

The concert will start at 8.30pm. Tickets cost VNĐ100,000. Hanoi Social Club is at 6 Hội Vũ Street. — VNS
