Tuấn ruled out of national team for World Cup

Midfielder Vũ Minh Tuấn has been ruled out of the Việt Nam national football squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers because of injury, head coach Nguyễn Hữu Thắng has confirmed.

Midfielder Vũ Minh Tuấn has been ruled out of the Việt Nam national football squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers because of injury, head coach Nguyễn Hữu Thắng has confirmed.

Before being selected for the 32-man squad, Tuấn of Quảng Ninh Coal had a light injury but still hasn’t recovered.

Việt Nam will meet Chinese Taipei on Thursday and Iraq on March 29 in the second qualifying round of World Cup 2018, Asian zone.

To prepare for the event, Việt Nam beat V.League side Quảng Ninh Coal 4-0 in a friendly match on Saturday in Hà Nội.
