A two-metre long bomb with a diameter of 0.5-0.6 metres was fished out of the Hồng (Red) River in Hà Nội yesterday.

A two-metre long bomb with a diameter of 0.5-0.6 metres was fished out of the Hồng (Red) River in Hà Nội yesterday. The bomb was found under Long Biên Bridge by local citizens 10 days ago. Twenty military engineers and two frogmen were mobilised to transport it to shore, after which it was taken to a military yard in Long Biên District. It is reported that the bomb will be safely detonated in central Thanh Hóa City. It was identified as a remnant of the  American War in Việt Nam. VNA/VNS Photo An Đăng
