Festival for disabled children launched

A two-day festival for disabled children ended yesterday in the Hòn Tằm Island Tourism Site in Nha Trang Bay, in the central province of Khánh Hòa.

KHÁNH HÒA – A two-day festival for disabled children ended yesterday in the Hòn Tằm Island Tourism Site in Nha Trang Bay, in the central province of Khánh Hòa.

The festival was held in reponse to the annual Việt Nam Action Month for Children which was first launched in 2013.

As many as 650 disabled children, and 180 teachers from 35 disabled children centres in 25 provinces and cities in central, Central Highlands and southern areas joined the festival.

During the festival, disabled children took part in different activities including swimming, playing football, drawing, colouring plaster statues and singing. They also received health examinations.

Sets of presents, worth VNĐ30-50 million (US$1,300-2,200), were given to disabled children centres joining the festival.—VNS
