CJ Group opens new plant in Bình Định

Global conglomerate CJ Group on Friday inaugurated its new animal feed production plant, worth US$13.6 million, in the central province of Bình Định.

BÌNH ĐỊNH — Global conglomerate CJ Group on Friday inaugurated its new animal feed production plant, worth US$13.6 million, in the central province of Bình Định.

Covering 41,000sq.m in the Nhơn Hòa Industrial Zone, the CJ Vina Agri Bình Định factory has an estimated production capacity of 72,000 tonnes of products each year. It is the group’s sixth animal feed factory in Việt Nam.

Lee Tae Ki, General Director of Biological Resource Business of CJ CheilJedang - a subsidiary of CJ Group, said Việt Nam had been selected as South Korea’s most important strategic investment area.

His company’s resources on investment and development had also been concentrating on the Southeast Asian country, he added.

“CJ Group is dedicated to maximising investment to achieve our medium and long-term goals as part of the Great CJ Plan 2020," he said.

During the event, CJ Group also expressed its wish to become a global company that can actively contribute to the development of the livestock industry in general and the animal feed sector of Việt Nam in particular. — VNS
