HÀ NỘI — Five Vietnamese coaches could take charge of world-leading clubs after they finished a course by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) recently.
The AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma, which is also known as the AFC Pro Diploma, is the highest level of coaching accreditation issued by the AFC. The Asian football governing body considers it the equivalent of the UEFA Pro Licence.
After the two-year course, five Vietnamese coaches Phan Thanh Hùng, Nguyễn Đức Thắng, Nguyễn Hữu Thắng, Nguyễn Minh Phương and Lê Huỳnh Đức graduated and received their diplomas.
AFC rules that from January 1, 2020, only coaches who have an AFC Pro Diploma can take charge of national teams. — VNS
