88,378 new COVID-19 patients recorded on Tuesday

HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội on Tuesday continued to see a decreasing number of new daily COVID-19 cases. However, the capital city still ranked first in Việt Nam with 8,993 new infections.

The country registered 88,378 new transmissions and has had a total of 9,386,498 patients since the start of the pandemic, ranking 14th out of 225 countries and territories worldwide.

Two of the new patients were imported and the remaining domestic; 61,258 infections were detected in the community.

Other localities that reported new cases were Phú Thọ (4,302), Bắc Giang (4,047), Nghệ An (3,817), Yên Bái (3,232), Lào Cai (2,958), Đắk Lắk (2,714), Vĩnh Phúc (2,710), Quảng Ninh (2,598), Hà Giang (2,391), Quảng Bình (2,217), Thái Bình (2,176), Sơn La (2,053), Bắc Kạn (2,009), Hải Dương (1,986), Lạng Sơn (1,979), Cà Mau (1,977), Cao Bằng (1,937), Tuyên Quang (1,854), Hưng Yên (1,769), Lâm Đồng (1,614), Tây Ninh (1,572), Thái Nguyên (1,502), Hòa Bình (1,470), Bắc Ninh (1,456), Quảng Trị (1,437), Lai Châu (1,424), Hà Nam (1,312), Bình Định (1,290), Điện Biên (1,240), Vĩnh Long (1,165), Bình Dương (1,021), Đắk Nông (1,019), Quảng Ngãi (901), Bến Tre (899), Hà Tĩnh (826), Ninh Bình (823), Nam Định (812), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (801), Đà Nẵng (752), Trà Vinh (738), Hồ Chí Minh City (734), Thừa Thiên Huế (678), Bình Phước (657), Phú Yên (625), Khánh Hòa (625), Thanh Hóa (561), Hải Phòng (522), Bình Thuận (485), Kon Tum (358), Quảng Nam (284), Bạc Liêu (202), An Giang (174), Kiên Giang (155), Long An (148), Đồng Tháp (90), Tiền Giang (81), Cần Thơ (61), Sóc Trăng (47), Ninh Thuận (45), Đồng Nai (31) and Hậu Giang (20).

1,679,138 patients were declared recovered from the virus. The country has had 7,153,846 people given the all-clear so far.

55 fatalities related to COVID were reported, in An Giang (4), Bạc Liêu (4), Bình Dương (4), Đồng Nai (4), Kiên Giang (4), Quảng Ninh (4), Gia Lai (3), Lạng Sơn (3), Bình Định (2), Cao Bằng (2), Hà Tĩnh (2), Sóc Trăng (2), Tây Ninh (2), Trà Vinh (2), Vĩnh Long (2), Bắc Giang (1), Bến Tre (1), Cà Mau (1), Cần Thơ (1), Hà Nam (1), Hải Dương (1), Nam Định (1), Nghệ An (1), Quảng Ngãi (1), Quảng Trị (1) and Hồ Chí Minh City (1).
