14,112 new COVID-19 patients recorded on Sunday, deaths lowest since October

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam reported 14,112 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, including seven imported cases.

The new figure brings the national tally to 2,341,971 infections.

Hà Nội continued to top the country in terms of new COVID-19 patients with 2,797 cases.

The other infections were recorded in Đà Nẵng (927), Quảng Nam (853), Nghệ An (675), Nam Định (593), Hải Dương (566), Vĩnh Phúc (550), Hải Phòng (523), Hòa Bình (523), Phú Thọ (491), Bắc Ninh (460), Bắc Giang (446), Bình Định (425), Thái Bình (419), Thái Nguyên (355), Thanh Hóa (300), Lâm Đồng (228), Hưng Yên (195), Bình Phước (193), Quảng Bình (185), Ninh Bình (183), Hà Nam (169), Thừa Thiên-Huế (148), Hà Tĩnh (147), Quảng Ngãi (143), Sơn La (132), Điện Biên (128), Lào Cai (110), Tuyên Quang (95), Quảng Ninh (94), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (92), Quảng Trị (92), Hà Giang (92), Cà Mau (85), Yên Bái (73), Bến Tre (63), Khánh Hòa (59), Gia Lai (56), Cao Bằng (55), Đắk Nông (49), Kiên Giang (45), Hồ Chí Minh City (43), Bắc Kạn (40), Bạc Liêu (39), Vĩnh Long (30), Tây Ninh (27), Bình Thuận (27), Đồng Nai (14), Tiền Giang (14), Đồng Tháp (13), Hậu Giang (11), Trà Vinh (11), Cần Thơ (9), Long An (7), Bình Dương (3) and Ninh Thuận (3).

The country registered 63 COVID-related deaths, the lowest since October 29. The pandemic has claimed a total of 38,324 lives in Việt Nam, about 1.6 per cent of total cases.

More than 6,802 patients were announced as having made a full recovery. The total number of recovered patients has now increased to over 2,112,715.

Việt Nam has so far administered 182,180,300 doses of vaccine. Almost 29 million people have been inoculated with a third dose. — VNS
