HÀ NỘI Members of the National Election Council (NEC) met in Hà Nội yesterday to prepare for a national conference that will take place on January 21.

The conference aims to discuss measures to ensure security and safety for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th legislature, and for the 2021-26 tenure of People's Councils at all levels.

It will be an online conference, hosted at the National Assembly building in Hà Nội, with 63 cities and provinces across the country, said NEC’s chief of office Nguyễn Hạnh Phúc.

Reports, guidelines and plans regarding the elections will be presented and discussed.

Phúc asked all members of the council and concerned agencies to collaborate and do their best to organise the conference. VNS
