HCM CITY — The outdoor bar Saigon Outcast will celebrate the National Day with a screening and music event on September 7.
The event themed “Saigon 1970s” will open with a screening of 1920 French film Indochine directed by Régis Wargnier.
The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 65th Academy Awards in 1993.
The event will continue with a live performance of M’Nông singer Y Kroc from Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) province of Đắk Nông.
Y Kroc can sing in both Vietnamese and English with his guitar. He has appeared in TV shows like Vietnam’s Got Talent in 2012 and The Voice in 2012.
The free-of-charge event will begin at 5 pm at the venue, 188/1 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng Street in District 2. — VNS
