Nestlé MILO donates computers to mountainous primary schools

Nestlé Vietnam through Nestlé MILO has launched its nutrition and exercise education programme for primary school students for the 2024-25 school year, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training.

YÊN BÁI — Nestlé Vietnam through Nestlé MILO has launched its nutrition and exercise education programme for primary school students for the 2024-25 school year, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training.

As part of this initiative, Nestlé MILO has donated three computer rooms - equipped with 20 laptops each - to primary schools in Yên Bái and Lào Cai provinces.

Since its inception in 2021, the programme aims to improve the quality of life for current and future generations. This year, MILO also distributed nearly 2,000 sports bags, 600 backpacks, hats and various school supplies to ensure students start the school year with enthusiasm and vitality.

Director of the Department of Primary Education under the Ministry of Education and Training, Thái Văn Tài, emphasised the importance of these donations in enhancing the learning experiences for students in mountainous areas.

Lê Bùi Mai Uyên, Director of MILO and Milk at Nestlé Vietnam said: “We are honoured to accompany the ministry in the nutrition and exercise education programme for primary school students, bringing practical values ​​to students across the country, especially in disadvantaged areas.

"The programme focuses on nutrition and physical activity, fostering resilience and a passion for learning among young Vietnamese.”

Over the past three decades, Nestlé MILO has implemented various programmes to support physical education and nutrition, benefiting over 33 million primary students nationwide. In the 2023-24 school year, Bằng Thành II Primary Boarding School in Bắc Kạn province also received a computer room with 50 laptops, furthering Nestlé’s commitment to comprehensive youth development. — VNS
