HÀ NỘI — SCS Cyber Security JSC (SafeGate) and BlueOC Company Ltd have entered into a co-operation agreement with the goal of offering Vietnam's network security services to the international market.
Under the agreement, BlueOC and SafeGate will collaborate in sharing cybersecurity knowledge. They will also facilitate the commercialisation and introduction of cybersecurity products and services developed by Vietnamese companies in global markets, particularly in the area of cybersecurity services. BlueOC and SafeGate have also agreed to join forces in research and development of new technological products to meet market demands. They are committed to fostering a sustainable co-operative relationship and working together on the "Go Global" journey, targeting markets such as Japan, America, Singapore, and Canada.
SafeGate's CEO, Ngô Tuấn Anh, said that the cybersecurity market is highly attractive due to its current robust growth, extensive range of services, and constant opportunities for new players. He acknowledged that exploring and conquering the international market, especially in a specific field like cybersecurity, will certainly present many difficulties and challenges. However, Vietnamese cybersecurity businesses possess the strengths of skilled professionals, diverse service offerings, and competitive pricing.
"The collaboration between our two organisations will create synergy. With SafeGate's background and experience in the cybersecurity field, combined with BlueOC's expertise in software development and access to large international markets, I am confident that Vietnamese cybersecurity services will soon establish a strong presence in demanding global markets," Anh added.
Mai Xuân Thu, Technology Director of BlueOC, highlighted that in 2023, there were approximately 2,200 network attacks worldwide every day. In Việt Nam, the country experiences around 14,000 cybersecurity incidents annually. It is predicted that this number will further increase in 2024 as technology crimes become increasingly dangerous and sophisticated.
"As a technology company, we understand that cybercrime poses potential threats to businesses, as well as our customers. Therefore, the long-term cooperation between SafeGate and BlueOC will enhance the capabilities of both parties, enabling us to jointly develop software solutions tailored to each customer's needs and provide robust security. This will enhance the reputation of Việt Nam, as well as the two companies, in both domestic and international IT markets," Thu said.
In Việt Nam, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications, revenue in the information security field reached VNĐ5.5 trillion in 2023, marking a 20 per cent increase compared to 2022. The cybersecurity sector is experiencing growth, with an ecosystem of improved products and services. — VNS
