La Luna Holdings accelerates business growth in 2019

Following the success of Swisstouches La Luna Resort project in the coastal city of Nha Trang, La Quang Binh – Chairman of La Luna Holdings cum Chairman of Marina Hotel JSC – launched a business expansion strategy that includes a series of other large-scale projects. He shared his bold development strategy for his business.

2018 marked a big step forward for La Luna Holdings, Marina Hotel JSC and Swisstouches La Luna Resort Nha Trang. Among these successes, what do you see as the highlight?

Swisstouches La Luna Resort in Nha Trang is the first project imprinting the impressive flagship development of Marina Hotel JSC – a member of La Luna Holdings Group. In the first days after its launch, we were delighted with the take-up rate of 60 per cent of the condos in the Luxury tower being successfully traded. We continued to launch a wide range of products in the Diamond tower with unique features and designs which were soon absorbed by the market.

We also conveyed our sincere appreciation to more than 1,000 local and overseas investors with two concerts held in both the north and south of Viet Nam.

The project’s bare-shell construction was completed and topping off three towers took place marking a milestone in the year. The great efforts of the whole workers helped us reach our goals for 2018. 

To make a difference to the project, what will be the preparation for your next steps?

Developing a successful project and attracting investments requires safety, transparency and professionalism. These key factors will be our sustainable premise to prove the commitment of the developer to clients. Furthermore, operating the project transparently, smoothly and professionally is how we cultivate trust and retain loyalty from customers.

After the topping out ceremony, we consolidated our resources to accelerate construction in an attempt to run an operation trial by the end of 2019. We understand that investors are concerned the most about the management and operation of the hotel as it plays a key role in ensuring a high occupancy rate.

At present, we are working closely with the Swisstouches Hotels & Resorts operator from Switzerland to prepare to roll out of the project in areas like human resources, management systems and business planning. We will hold a recruitment event in Nha Trang in July as well as hostability training courses for our employees. Our plan is to hand over the apartments to our clients at the beginning of 2020.

Could you share your strategy to develop your hotel and resort chains this year beside your first project in Nha Trang?

La Luna Holdings has a vision to develop 20,000 key rooms across Viet Nam and Southeast Asia. We will make bold moves in 2019 to realise this plan. We are on track to develop the La Luna brand for hotel and resort chains in Can Tho, Ninh Thuan, and Vung Tau this year.

Covering an area of 4.6 hectares, La Luna Can Tho soon will be an entertainment, shopping and hospitality complex in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho. The complex will promisingly be a must-visit destination for tourists in Can Tho. In addition, the central coastal province of Ninh Thuan has huge potential for hospitality services, which gives us a vision of a luxury beachfront resort under the La Luna brand. The company also plans to expand and upgrade existing projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau.

Swisstouches La Luna Resort is the only project in Viet Nam offering scholarships to the children of secondary investors based on human values.

Could you shed some light on the business philosophy of La Luna Holdings?

I believe that the development of large-scale projects should create value for the future as younger generations will inherit these works from their parents. Therefore, all the projects La Luna Holdings decided to develop should create iconic and unique works and long-lasting values. Our business model focuses on four calculations:
• Plus: leveraging financial potential, human resources and business opportunities for mutual development;
• Subtract: addressing gaps, weaknesses and shortcomings to sharpen human resources;
• Multiply: replicating the impact and spreading the values of well-being to achieve big goals for customers and society;
• Divide: sharing insights to perfect each individual's talent and knowledge.

These values benefit the young generations for a more stable and better future.

That is the reason we recently joined hands with Hotel and Tourism Management Institute Switzerland (HTMi) to grant scholarships for investors’ children to study abroad in Switzerland, Singapore and Australia.
