Việt Nam end Suwon Cup with two draws

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam tied host South Korea 1-1 in their final match of the U19 Suwon JS Cup on Sunday.

South Korean Ko Jun-hee opened the score in the 15th minute with a low shot.

The match was tied 1-1 when Mạnh Dũng volleyed to score his first goal, in a match that Vietnamese national head coach Park Hang-seo was watching from the stands.

Both sides had several chances in the second half, but none of their finishes were on target.

This was Việt Nam’s second draw in the four-side competition. Earlier, they drew with Morocco 1-1.

In the other matches on Sunday, Morocco defeated Mexico 2-1.

With two wins and one loss, Mexico won the tournament. South Korea came in second, followed by Morocco and Việt Nam. — VNS
