HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thành Tâm secured the 11th stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament on Monday.
The Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang cycler spent 2 hours and 50.37 minutes on the 130-km stage from Đà Nẵng to Quảng Ngãi.
It was a sweet result for Tâm who failed to take the 10th stage, even though he was in a leading position on Sunday.
The second stage victory helped Tâm narrow the gap with overall leader Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of the Military Zone 7, who finished fourth yesterday, and Lê Nguyệt Minh of Minh Giang-HCM City, who was second after Tâm in the Đà Nẵng-Quảng Ngãi stage, in the race for the green jersey.
VUS-HCM City topped the team ranking with a timing of 83:12.21. They were followed by Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang and the Military Zone 7.
The next stage will be of 12 laps, covering 40km of Quảng Ngãi City. — VNS
