HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội 1 will play HCM City 1 in the final of the National Women’s Football Championship this weekend in HCM City.

Hà Nội 1, which won a silver medal last season, defeated Việt Nam Coals and Minerals 2-0 in a semi-final match yesterday with two goals scored by Phạm Hải Yến during the seventh and 42nd minutes.

This was the third time this season that Hà Nội won with the same score. The two previous matches were held during the first and second-leg periods of the tournament.

During the second semi-final game, defending champions HCM City beat Phong Phú Hà Nam, the winner of the first-leg period, 1-0 at the Thống Nhất Stadium.

Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy scored the only goal during the 74th minute. The final tomorrow will be broadcast live on the VTV6 and VTV6HD channels.
