HCM City’s Chợ Rẫy Hospital, which treats patients with serious ailments from the country’s southern region, on Monday (March 13) opened a department for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, known as arrhythmia.

HCM CITY — HCM City’s Chợ Rẫy Hospital, which treats patients with serious ailments from the country’s southern region, on Monday opened a department for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, known as arrhythmia.

Doctors of the department will also carry on research into advanced techniques in arrhythmia treatment.

Besides, they will train doctors from other hospitals at the provincial, city, district and lower levels.

Assoc Prof Dr Nguyễn Trường Sơn, the hospital’s head, said the department would also collaborate with organisations and association from south-east Asia and the rest of the world.—VNS
