HÀ NỘI – Couleurs d’Asie by Réhahn – Saigon, a new gallery by Hội An-based photographer Réhahn, will open in HCM City on June 1.

The gallery, located on historic Đồng Khởi Street, will open every day from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, and entrance is free.

The gallery features some of Réhahn’s most well-known pieces, including works from Việt Nam, Malaysia, India and Cuba.

The space is divided into two rooms. The first offers a special focus on photographs from Việt Nam, while the second presents the other countries and his “Limited Edition” Fine Art photography, which sells for upwards of US$2,000 per photo.

A recent patron purchased his famous “Best Friends” photo for $16,000, making it the most expensive Fine Art photo ever sold in Việt Nam (Forbes, January 2017). Only three Fine Art prints of “Best Friends” were produced in 100x150cm format and they now hang in private collections in Việt Nam, Belgium, and France.

Notably, the gallery will also display, for the first time in Việt Nam, a broad collection of his pictures from Cuba. Réhahn has a special relationship with the island and has visited it 12 times over the past 10 years. His work is featured in the Asian House Museum in Havana, Cuba. - VNS
