HÀ NỘI — Chevron Lubricants Việt Nam’s plant expansion project kicked off on Wednesday in Đình Vũ Industrial Zone, Hải Phòng.

Petrolimex Engineering Joint Stock Company (PEC) and Petrolimex Construction and Installation Company (PCC-1) are the two main contractors of the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyễn Đạt Phú, general director of Chevron Lubricants Việt Nam Co Ltd in Hải Phòng, said PEC and PCC-1 were two leading companies in the field of design, supervision and construction of petrochemical projects in Việt Nam, therefore, Chervon Việt Nam was confident in delivering this Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) package to PEC.

Petrolimex’s deputy general director and PEC’s chairman Vương Thái Dũng also told PEC and PCC-1 to prioritise safety during the project implementation, ensuring progress as well as quality to assert the corporation’s trademark and reputation in the field of consulting, design and construction.

Chevron’s Hải Phòng lubricant factory was put into operation in 1999 at Đình Vũ Industrial Zone, Hải An, Hải Phòng. The factory had an initial designed capacity of 15 million litres per year. — VNS
