HCM CITY— The HCM City Power Cooperation (EVNHCMC) plans to build more power projects and expand the city’s backup electricity grid system.
This year, EVNHCMC plans to start construction of two 220kV power grid projects and nine 110kV power grid projects.
In addition, the company will complete three 220kV grid projects and seven 110kV grid projects
These projects are expected to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the electrical system and meet increasing electricity demand in the 2021-2025 period.
The company said electricity demand in the city was expected to increase from 10 per cent to 15 per cent this year.
Phạm Quốc Bảo, general director of EVNHCMC, said these projects would play an important role in completing and developing the city grid in the next five years. VNS
