Twelve imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Monday evening, among them a two-year-old girl.

HÀ NỘI — Twelve imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Monday evening, among them a two-year-old girl.

Ten of the new cases, including the toddler, arrived in the country at Vân Đồn Airport on a repatriation flight from Russia on October 31.

All were quarantined on arrival and are now being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội and Hòa Bình Province General Hospital.

The other two patients came from the US via Japan on October 29.

They were also quarantined on arrival and are being treated at the Khánh Hòa Province Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Also on Monday it was announced two more people have beaten the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,065.

Since the first case was detected back in January, 1,192 have tested positive for COVID-19 and there have been 35 related fatalities. — VNS
