HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam has thirteen universities listed in the Impact Rankings 2024 released by Times Higher Education (THE) on June 12.

Universities in the 401-600 group include Duy Tân University, FPT University, National Economics University, Tôn Đức Thắng University, University of Economics Hồ Chí Minh City, and Hà Nội National University.
Hà Nội University of Science and Technology is in the 601-800 group, followed by Văn Lang University in the 801-1,000 range.
Three universities are in the 1,001-1,500 group, including Lạc Hồng University, Hồ Chí Minh City Open University, and Phenikaa University. Việt Đức University is in the 1,501+ group.
The Impact Rankings is the only global performance table that assesses universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In the 2024 rankings, THE Impact Rankings saw significant global interest, with 1,963 universities participating, an increase of 372 institutions from the previous year.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand has 77 universities in the rankings, with Mahidol University achieving the highest position at nineteenth.
Malaysia has 28 universities featured, with Universiti Sains Malaysia ranked 18th.
Indonesia has 45 ranked universities, and the Philippines has 56. — VNS
