HCM CITY — HCM City will have two more emergency stations capable of rescues and providing emergency care by water and air, according to the city’s Department of Health.

The Department of Health has developed a draft project on improving the capacity of the 115 Emergency Centre from now to 2025 and the following years, and submitted it to the municipal People's Committee for consideration and approval.

Under this project, the 115 Emergency Centre will open a waterway emergency station in Cần Giờ District under the coordination and support of the city's Border Guard and an airway emergency station under the coordination and support of Military Hospital 175 in the city.

Instead of having only one 115 Emergency Centre, the city will have three emergency centres corresponding to three specialised medical clusters, comprising the emergency centre cluster, and the Tân Kiên and Thủ Đức clusters.

Of these, the Tân Kiên emergency centre cluster will be a newly invested command centre built by the city with modern infrastructure designs for outpatient emergency care.

The remaining two emergency centre clusters will be responsible for providing emergency care to people in the city centre and Thủ Đức city.

The city’s People's Council has approved infrastructure development projects for the health sector, including a project to build a new emergency centre in Tân Kiên Commune in Bình Chánh District. — VNS
