HCM CITY — Rex Sen Vàng Theatre will premiere a water puppetry and cultural programme at the Vertical Garden at the five-star Rex Hotel Sài Gòn in HCM City’s District 1 on September 17.
The show will feature of Hát Bội, a classical theatre genre that was born in Việt Nam 700 years ago; an imperial Huế-style dance which was known in the country 500 years ago; Chầu Văn (a traditional northern singing style with a 400-year history); and Hầu đồng (a solo performance of stone musical instruments from the Central Highlands dating back 2,000 years).
