Every year when the Mid-Autumn Festival comes, musical activities, lion dances and the lantern procession are indispensable performances. Across the country, impressive lantern displays go viral on social networks.

Recently, a video of a group of young people carrying a giant lantern on the street spread like wildfire online.

In the video, more than a dozen young people are carrying a giant lantern together, blocking most of a street. Many passersby had to step aside to let this lantern procession pass.

Perhaps because it was so majestic and ostentatious, the lantern procession was noticed by traffic police. Two officers drove a motorcycle to stop the procession.

Upon seeing two officers, the whole group ran away in a panic, throwing the giant lantern on the ground, causing it to flip on top of one of the officers.

The clip is still being shared on social networks and while most people see the funny side, others have commented that everyone should be careful and pay attention to the safety of themselves and others. — VNS
