Vietnamese cueist Chiến finishes runner-up at Survival Masters

Vietnamese cueist Trần Quyết Chiến finished as runner-up at the Survival Masters in the South Korean city of Guri on Sunday.

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese cueist Trần Quyết Chiến finished as runner-up at the Survival Masters in the South Korean city of Guri on Sunday.

Chiến, world No 7, earned 57 points in the finals, behind Dick Jasper of the Netherlands, world No 2, who took the title with 109 points. It is Jasper’s fourth world title.

Semih Sayginer of Turkey came third with 49 points, while Chi-Yeon Cho of South Korea finished fourth with 25.

Chiến won US$21,000 for his efforts.

The tournament attracted 22 top players from around the world and two players from the host country.

Việt Nam next will compete at the Three-Cushion World Cup 2018 from November 12-18 in South Korea. — VNS
