THANH HÓA — The body of a 20-day old infant, who was reportedly kidnapped, was found on Monday morning in Bỉm Sơn Town, central Thanh Hóa Province.
 
According to the provincial police, the body was found with multiple injuries near a garbage dump in Đông Sơn Ward, some 10km from her house. Police said that she may have been murdered.
 
On Saturday evening, the infant was at home with her mother and grandmother, when a masked couple reportedly rushed into the house, put a knife to the neck of the grandmother as she held the girl and took the baby away on their motorbike. The grandmother tried to follow the kidnappers but fell and was knocked unconscious. The baby’s mother was in the kitchen at the time of the incident and the father was not at home.
 
The infant’s father has been identified as Lê Hữu Thuận, 37 years old, and the mother is Lê Thị Thanh Huyền, 38 years old. Both work for the Bỉm Sơn train station.
