Two new urban projects to be built in Đà Nẵng

The central city plans to develop two new urban in Ngũ Hành Sơn and Hòa Vang districts on total area of more than 1,000ha later this year.

ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city plans to develop new urban spaces later this year in Ngũ Hành Sơn and Hòa Vang districts on a total area of more than 1,000ha.

The city said the Hòa Quý urban commune in Ngũ Hành Sơn District and the Hòa Sơn urban commune in Hòa Vang District will help the city expand residential area in the northwest region.

As planned, the FPT Complex project, which has inaugurated the first stage on 5.9ha, will reserve more 1.6ha for urban development. In addition, the already operational Phúc Lộc Viên residential park will be expanded to 4.1ha.

Meanwhile, the An Đồn Industrial Park plans to develop apartment and residential projects in the coming years.

Đà Nẵng has developed four urban communes – Hoà Xuân, FPT complex, Golden Hills and Đa Phước – that plan to accommodate 2.5 million locals and 15 million tourists by 2030.

The local administration has approved a construction plan on Bàu Tràm Lakeside project in Liên Chiểu district on 460ha with total investment of VNĐ605 billion (US$26.8 million).

The project, funded by the Sài Gòn-Đà Nẵng Investment Company, will include apartments, villas, public entertainment areas, trading centres and living quarters with standard wastewater treatment and communications operational by 2019.

The central city, situated at the end of the East-West Economic Corridor, which links Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Việt Nam, plans to develop into a green city by 2025 and an economic hub for boosting development in the central and Central Highlands regions. — VNS
