Celebrities bring glamour to Vietnamese New Year Festival in HCM City

Update: January, 10/2020 - 15:15

The Vietnamese New Year Festival organised by Masan Consumer last weekend attracted an estimated 60,000 visitors, with the Chin-su booth standing out with its celebrities joining a range of exciting activities.

At the three-day event the Chin-su booth attracted thousands of visitors, who came to meet popular actress Ninh Dương Lan Ngọc and beauty queen Phương Nga.

Ngọc stood out in her red áo dài (traditional Vietnamese tunic), a colour that represents spring. Nga impressed visitors with her dazzling off-shoulder dress.

Both Ngoc and Nga have long been popular for their sunny smiles. Both of them were seen interacting with their fans at the event. Visitors had the opportunity to chat with the celebrities and play some interesting games with them.

On the next day two runners-up, Tú Anh and Tường San, were in the Chin-su booth. They shared stories of appreciation about precious moments spent with family on Lunar New Year’s Eve, eating traditional dishes and taking part in festive activities.

Anh gave cooking tips, including on how to choose fresh foods early in the morning and evaluate ingredients’ colours to make the best dishes. Super chef Jack Lee agreed with her, adding that the texture of the food and seasoning play a decisive role in making a dish tasty.

At the event from January 3 to 5 Lee served visitors both traditional and modern dishes, all carefully decorated. The common point in all the dishes was the unique taste of Chin-su made from fresh anchovies.

Each limited edition bottle of Chin-su fish sauce spring anchovies has its own number. The packaging has been improved to make it more luxurious and sophisticated, making it the ideal gift for the Lunar New Year.

Chin-su carefully selects a barrel of fish sauce that is “perfect” in terms of colour, flavour and taste from nearly 1,000 barrels of fish sauce made from fresh anchovies at the Masan Phú Quốc fish sauce production plant to make the limited edition.

At Vietnamese fish sauce booths, visitors could see a fusion between tradition and modernity. They were impressed by an acoustic concert organised by Chin-su which attracted hundreds of people, both young and not so young.

With an old market with a street food car vividly recreated, everyday things turned into a favourite setting for young people to take photos or selfies. Every single detail was harmoniously arranged to create the Tết atmosphere.

Chin-su’s Vietnamese New Year Festival left visitors with the indelible images of thousands of people joining games, dancing to music and enjoying traditional foods.
