The systems will generate 76,170 kWhelectricity annually. From December, the electricity output will be able tooffset a total of 39 tonnes CO₂ per year, similar to planting extra 647 trees forHong Kong.

The implementation of thissolar project took place during COVID19 pandemic. The unprecedented situationhas created challenges to both teams. Due to the social distancingrestrictions, certain points of the construction process were delayed. With theco-operation and understanding between Alliance and NEFIN, the solar PV systemswere completed on time within 2020.

The two companies will continue to work together to monitor the electricityoutput of the two pilot plants and explore the opportunity to promote renewableenergy to the other production facilities to enhance efficiency and strivetowards carbon neutrality.
