HÀ NỘI — State budget total collection in the first seven months of this year was estimated at VNĐ666.68 trillion (US$29.36 billion), an increase of 11.6 per cent over the same period last year.

The amount is equivalent to 55 per cent of the whole year’s estimates, according to the Ministry of Finance. 
In the reviewed period, domestic collection reached VNĐ532.5 trillion ($23.45 billion), up 9.4 per cent, accounting for 53.8 per cent of the year’s estimates.
Budget revenue from crude oil and import-export activities was over VNĐ27 trillion ($1.18 billion) and VNĐ165 trillion ($7.26 billion), up 16 per cent and 8.9 per cent, respectively.
According to the ministry, 43 out of 63 provinces and cities collected upwards of 56 per cent of their estimates.
Meanwhile, total budget spending was VNĐ695.16 trillion ($30.62 billion), up 8.7 per cent year-on-year, of which budget investment for development was VNĐ119.36 trillion ($5.25 billion) in the reviewed period, up 15.1 per cent year-on-year. — VNS
