HCM CITY — A Japanese food festival is being held at the Windsor Plaza Hotel HCM City from November 24 and December 3.

It takes food lovers into the world of sushi, sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi and cupcakes made by two Japanese guest chefs, Yosuke Suzuki and Takeshi Yamada.

The event’s highlight will be a traditional mochi rice cake pounding ceremony, a long-established ritual for the Japanese on New Year’s Day to pray for luck, good health and prosperity. — VNS
