Giang elected as chairman of martial arts federation

Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Hoàng Vĩnh Giang was elected as chairman of the Việt Nam Traditional Martial Arts Federation at a general meeting held in Hà Nội yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Hoàng Vĩnh Giang was elected as chairman of the Việt Nam Traditional Martial Arts Federation at a general meeting held in Hà Nội yesterday.

The deputy chairman and general secretary of the Việt Nam Olympic Committee will take charge of the federation from 2018 to 2023.

The new chairman said that during his term, he would develop Vietnamese vovinam (Việt Nam’s traditional martial arts) throughout the world and organise vovinam events at home and abroad.

At present, Vietnamese vovinam has been represented in 55 countries around the world. — VNS
