HÀ NỘI – Unranked Việt Nam lost to world No. 19 China 11-0 in Pool A of the FIH Hockey World League at Seng Kang Stadium in Singapore on April 10.

However, the Việt Nam team, established only three years ago, fought hard at the event.

Earlier, Việt Nam lost to Hong Kong, 8-1.

Việt Nam will next meet Brunei on April 12 and Thailand on April 13.

The event, which is a qualifier for the World Cup in 2018, will provide Việt Nam the chance to hone their skills and gain experience for the 29th Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, next year. – VNS
