According to the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC)’s Expat Explorer 2016 report, good career opportunities in a stable economy have made Việt Nam one of the best host countries for expats.

Expat Explorer is the longest running survey of expats with more than 26,000 respondents sharing views on life in 45 host countries.

The report shows Việt Nam holds second place after Singapore among six ASEAN countries in the survey. It ranks 19th globally, jumping from 25th position last year.

The top three reasons expats choose to move to Việt Nam are a new challenge (46 per cent), being sent by an employer (26 per cent) and to better their life quality (24 per cent).

Are you living and working in Việt Nam? Are they the reasons you moved here? Is Việt Nam a promising land for expats to live and work?

If you have ever worked in Việt Nam, did you enjoy it? Is there anything you want to share about improving the working environment in Việt Nam?
