Vietnamese archers win 3 golds in regional championship

Vietnamese athletes win two golds and one silver at the Southeast Asian Archery Championship in Myanmar. — VNS Photo

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won three gold medals in the sixth Southeast Asian Open Archery Championships 2017, which closed in Myanmar on Tuesday.

Thạch Phi Hùng triumphed in the men’s compound event, while his teammate Lê Thị Ngọc Huyền topped the same category for women.

Huyền and her teammates also came second in the women’s team compound pool.

Việt Nam finished third overall. The Philippines won the top first position with three golds, three silvers and one bronze. Athletes from the host country stood second with two gold, three silver and four bronze medals. — VNS
