Phước wins silver at Hungary swimming event

Vietnamese swimmer Hoàng Quý Phước won a silver medal at the Hungary National Swimming Short Course Championship in Szazhalombata.

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese swimmer Hoàng Quý Phước won a silver medal at the Hungary National Swimming Short Course Championship in Szazhalombata.

Phước finished second in the men’s 100m freestyle with a time of 48.58sec, behind gold medallist Kozma Dominik of Hungary by 0.19sec.

In the semifinal, Phước clocked a time of 48.96sec.

Phước is training in Hungary, so he took part in the event as member of the BVSC – a Budapest club.

Besides the silver medal, Phước won a bronze medal in the men’s 100m butterfly with a time of 52.38sec.

As planned, the Southeast Asian Games gold medallist will train in Hungary until the end of the year. — VNS
